It's been a little over a year since I moved to Pasadena and now I am packing up once again and heading back to Boyle Heights. My time here in the city of roses has been a period of reflection. I have all but removed myself from all social activities and creative endeavors. My period of rest is over. I needed the break and to break free from being so deeply rooted in a community I thought I outgrew. It's much easier to see things from a distance to gain appreciation. I am returning to Boyle Heights with a renewed energy and can't wait to get working on a few projects I have in mind.Friday, May 13, 2011
End of days (as a Pasadena resident, that is)
